Nurse Practitioner
Laura McCoy, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Laura McCoy is originally from Pitt County, growing up in Winterville, NC. After graduating
high school she attended Meredith College in Raleigh, NC, where she earned a BS degree in
Business Administration with a minor in Biology. Laura decided to continue her education in
nursing. She attended Wake Technical Community College and graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing. While working as an orthopedic nurse, she pursued a BS degree in Nursing from East Carolina University and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from the University of Cincinnati. She is board certified by ANCC, holds certifications in Obesity Management by the Obesity Medicine Association, and Hormone Replacement Therapy by EvexiPEL. She has vast experience in Orthopedics, Gastroenterology, Acute care/Inpatient Internal Medicine, and Primary Care.

Laura engages in her community and is excited to provide compassionate, quality medical care
and education to her patients in Johnston County and surrounding areas.
Laura has lived in Johnston County for 10 years. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time
with family and friends, the beach, exercising, music, and cooking.
Nurse Practitioner
David Dobbins, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
David Dobbins grew up in Yadkin county. After high school he was a Certified Massage and Bodywork therapist and Certified Neuromuscular therapist from 1999 till 2004. In 2006 he joined the US Navy and was honorably discharged from active duty in 2010 as a Hospital Corpsman second class to pursue a career in Nursing. Graduating with an Associate’s in Nursing from Wake Tech Community College in 2014, David began his nursing career at WakeMed on a Cardiovascular Intermediate Care unit. While working as a nurse, David completed his Bachelor’s from Winston-Salem State University in 2017 and Master’s from Chamberlain University in 2024. David is board certified by ANCC, and hold certifications in Hormone Replacement Therapy, Peptide and Nutraceuticals by EvexiPEL, . David is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for the residents of Johnston county and surrounding areas.
David is happily married and is the proud father of three sons and two fur babies. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and woodworking.
